Our ABA team provides comprehensive services in Applied Behavior Analysis. We are comprised of passionate individuals driven to encourage children to reach their full potential, and we are seeking dedicated, creative, and open-minded individuals to join our team!


Salary: $75,000-$85,000 dependent on education and experience in the field of ABA

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assessment for Basic Language and Learning Skills 
  • Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program 
  • Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Functional Assessment Screening Tool (FAST) 
  • After the assessments are complete, an initial treatment plan and the number of hours required for implementation of the consumer’s plan will be proposed to DDD or to the insurance company.  
  • Within this individualized treatment plan, time-limited outcomes will be outlined to address the consumer’s long-term treatment priorities following the department’s recognized skills assessment template. 
  • The BCBA will develop specific initial and ongoing teaching strategies for each skill area. Along with these teaching strategies, the BCBA will recommend the frequency of services, data collection methods, and the steps to be followed to teach a new skill.  
  • The BCBA will conduct client team meetings as needed with all staff, in order to conduct case reviews, training, and program development. 
  • Maintain communication with all team members and provide overlaps for each client assigned during session, as needed. 
  • When possible, maintain continuity of care by discussing programs/protocols with treating specialty therapists. 
  • Analyze consumer outcome data to make recommendations in program implementation for programs implemented in home, in center, and in the community. 
  • Provide direct services for consumers, if needed, to maintain a consistent ABA schedule, or when designated staff are out, and no fill-ins are available. 
  • Provide training and feedback and contribute to annual evaluations for Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians. 
  • To increase knowledge and maintain professional certification/licensure, the BCBA will participate in ongoing training to obtain continuing education units (CEUs) per guidelines listed by the BCBA and AZ Board of Psychologist Examiners. 
  • The BCBA must follow all ethical guidelines as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. 
  • It is the obligation of the BCBA to maintain a professional relationship with the families that they work with and avoid any dual relationships. 
  • BCBA will work toward natural support and reinforcement of contingencies across all environments. 
  • Help to identify, develop, and present ongoing training series for providers and families. This includes monthly Saturday group training. These trainings will include teaching methodologies, specific teaching strategies, behavioral supports, program implementation, data collection techniques, and additional topics of interest. 
  • Pass and maintain 80% or better on program audit check sheet. 
  • Maintain timely on-going authorizations for both insurance and state-funded services as outlined in the PM Job Responsibilities checklist. 
  • BCBA’s are obligated to uphold L.I.F.E.’s mission and values. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age 
  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (or eligibility to obtain) and disclosure statement regarding criminal record signed by applicant 
  • Provide three (3) references (forms provided) 
  • Must have BCBA certification recognized by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). 
  • Must have a current Arizona license to practice as a Behavior Analyst issued by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners; Or be supervised by a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Arizona. 
  • Current CPR and First aid certification (originals must be provided for copy and file) 
  • Proof of training and proficiency in A.A.C. Title 6, Chapter 6, Article 9  
  • Minimum 3 months experience with children 
  • Client intervention techniques (CIT) training/prevention and support training; immediately if specified in the Individual Service Program Plan (ISPP) 
  • Diagnosis of Autism 
  • Treatment of Autism 
  • Data Collection and Report Writing 
  • Overview of Developmental Disabilities 
  • Consumer specific information that includes assessment results and intervention plan. 
  • Understanding of Social Skill Deficits, Developmental Milestones and Maladaptive Behaviors 
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience sufficient to carry out the requirements of the position. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to balance multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills for families, staff, and leadership. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning new systems such as Bloomz or attendance platforms. 
  • Attention to detail in managing records, documentation, and compliance requirements. 
  • Ability to adapt quickly and provide flexible support across departments as needs change. 
  • Professionalism, discretion, and customer service skills in working with diverse families and staff. 
  • Collaborative problem-solving and teamwork to ensure smooth Academy operations.
