Hours and Salary:

Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience.)

Hours: Hours are flexible with work from home opportunities. There will be events taking place on weekends and evenings.

Key Responsibilities: 

Volunteer Management 

  • Recruit, onboard, schedule, and supervise all volunteer groups on campus 
  • Provide orientation and role clarity to ensure volunteers are prepared and engaged throughout their service 
  • Maintain accurate volunteer records including hours logged, contact information, background check status, and participation history 
  • Track engagement trends and identify opportunities to strengthen the volunteer program over time 

Event Planning and Execution 

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of all organizational events and fundraisers, including seasonal, community, and mission-driven activities as assigned 
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project timelines for each event, ensuring all tasks, milestones, and deadlines are clearly defined and met 
  • Coordinate all event logistics including venue sourcing, setup, supply procurement, vendor communication, transportation needs, and day-of operations 
  • Respond to emerging event needs as they arise throughout the year 

Fundraising and Sponsorship Development 

  • Assist with sponsorship planning, recruitment, retention, and stewardship to support continued and additional revenue streams for the organization 
  • Maintain accurate database records for sponsors, in-kind donors, and event contributors; track incoming financials and process invoices and receipts as needed 
  • Support auction and in-kind donation outreach, including coordinating delivery, tracking details, and drafting descriptions as needed 
  • Complete reports and documentation as requested by organizational leadership 

Marketing and Community Outreach 

  • Collaborate with organizational leadership on communications strategies that broaden awareness of L.I.F.E.'s mission in the community 
  • Attend community events and cultivate relationships with community partners, donors, and sponsors to advance the organization's visibility and fundraising goals 
  • Support event promotion through outreach efforts including drafting communications, managing contact lists, and coordinating mailings or digital outreach 

Administrative and Cross-Functional Coordination 

  • Develop and manage event budgets in coordination with organizational leadership; track expenditures and report on financial outcomes following each event 
  • Coordinate committee meetings, maintain meeting minutes, and manage ongoing communication with internal teams and external stakeholders 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to align event programming with organizational priorities 
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess outcomes, gather feedback, and identify areas for continuous improvement 

General 

  • Maintain availability for evening and weekend work as required by the event calendar, with a flexible schedule to meet shifting organizational needs 
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the organization's mission and operational needs 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Minimum of one year of experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or a comparable role in a nonprofit or community-based setting. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in alignment with organizational events and fundraising activities. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic digital tools; experience with event management or volunteer coordination software a plus. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Nonprofit Administration, or a related field 
  • Prior experience working in a nonprofit organization or with individuals with developmental disabilities. 
  • Experience with community outreach, donor stewardship, or fundraising campaign management. 
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus. 

Physical Demands: 

This position requires a combination of routine administrative activity and occasional physical tasks. Employees must be able to: 


  • Sit, communicate, and remain attentive to surroundings for extended periods 
  • Occasionally stand, walk, bend, kneel, or reach as part of daily responsibilities 
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds when assisting consumers with mobility, transfers, equipment, or program materials 
  • Push or move items up to 50 pounds, such as wheelchairs, furniture, or supplies 
  • Maintain adequate vision (close, distance, and peripheral) to complete job-related tasks safely and effectively 

Additional Requirement: 

All direct service staff may be required to participate in aquatic environments with consumers, including swimming pools and splash pads. Employees must be able to swim, remain comfortable in water settings, and provide direct supervision of consumers during these activities. Accommodations can be discussed with a supervisor if needed.
