Job Overview:

We seek a motivated, experienced professional to join our Maintenance team at Lauren’s Institute for Education. The ideal candidate will provide first-level support to our property, different environments, and staff. This role requires knowledge of various types of property maintenance. Applicants need to have a friendly, customer-focused attitude.

This position offers opportunities for professional growth and excellent on-the-job training to enhance employee development. We seek a candidate prepared to develop within the role and advance to higher levels of responsibility.

Maintenance Support will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain campus integrity and appearance
  • Verify HVAC systems remain operational and serviced
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues
  • Complete all tasks as directed by maintenance requests
  • Receive all shipments and distribute packages to the proper location
  • Maintain a shipping and receiving log
  • Assist in landscaping maintenance
  • Make sure all buildings are fully functioning and maintained as directed by the maintenance supervisor
  • Ensure that all rooms, common areas, and treatment spaces are properly maintained as directed by the maintenance supervisor
  • Ensure all vehicles are fully operational and street legal as directed by the maintenance supervisor

Additional Requirements:

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to be a team player, initiative, and the ability to work independently.

Skills / Requirements

    • 1-year or more experience in HVAC and/or Electrical work is recommended
    • Knowledge/experience in landscaping
    • Knowledge/experience in plumbing repair and installation
    • Knowledge/experience of drywall repair and painting
    • Knowledge/experience of pressure washing
    • Ability to move and/or build furniture, shelving, desks, and other miscellaneous items.
    • Ability to learn on the job
    • Time Management and Ability to Multi-task
    • Ability to work well with others and independently
    • Ability to lift and move heavy items
