At Lauren’s Institute for Education (L.I.F.E.), we believe in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities through education, support, and compassion. We're looking for enthusiastic and caring Paraprofessionals to join our team, people who want to build meaningful connections and grow in a mission-driven environment that values equity, belonging, and collaboration. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Support children, teens, or adults with developmental disabilities in program spaces created to meet the needs of all we serve 
  • Help clients meet personal, academic, or life skills goals 
  • Assist with transitions, hygiene care, daily routines, and community outings 
  • Participate in behavior and therapeutic programs 
  • Supervise during aquatic activities and provide physical support 
  • Collect data and collaborate with a supportive, interdisciplinary team 
  • All other duties assigned 

What You’ll Need: 

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Must be 18+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs 
  • Ability to swim and supervise in water 
  • Valid driver’s license (if assigned to transport clients) 
  • CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention & Support (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Experience with developmental disabilities preferred 

L.I.F.E. Pathways and Academy department maintain a low student/consumer to instructor ratio and has extensive support from specialty therapists and behavior analysts. This position may be placed in Pathways to Independence, Pathways to Employment, or Pathways to Adulthood, or the Academy depending on where the need is greatest.
